    Amidst a snowy Friday afternoon, an energetic team from Slalom Consulting brought the heat as they welcomed Work to Play teams from Beethoven, Little Village, Sandoval, and Kozminski to Chicago Indoor Sports for an afternoon of friendship and play.

    Urban Initiatives is proud to have hosted another successful Practitioners Summit this fall! Over 70 people from 15 Chicago organizations in the city came together to spend the day connecting with each other about their work with underserved kids around the city.

    As the first snow of the year descended upon Chicago, Urban Initiatives students from Barry, Jenner, Lloyd, and McNair and volunteers from Accenture were undeterred as they traveled to Windy City Fieldhouse for a much-anticipated Game Day.

  • UI Student Board Spotlight: Priya from Jones College Prep

    On Monday, October 30th, Joe Trost, Managing Director of the PepsiCo Showdown Soccer Tournament, surprised UI Student Board member Priya Charles with a classroom visit recognizing her as a recipient for this year’s National Speak Up for Service Day.
