UI is a finalist for the Axelson Center's Excellent Emerging Organization Award

Urban Initiatives is thrilled to be considered for the Excellent Emerging Organization Award. This award recognizes a young organization whose potential for growth and impact is high - while young and small, the organization practices financial stability, sound management, and visions and plans for its future success. It is an honor to be considered!

 

The Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management at North Park University aims to enhance performance and effectiveness of organizations and individuals in the nonprofit sector through education, service and resources. If selected as the recipient of the Axelson Center's award, UI would be awared a capacity-building package including:

• Professional development programs
• 1 year mentoring by a senior nonprofit leader
• A team of advertising agency and design firm professionals will conduct a brand consultation, and will assist with the redesign of our marketing materials
• A professional attorney will evaluate our internal operations, alerting management to any potential legal or regulatory issues
