Urban Initiatives thanks girls from the FC United Soccer Club for hosting a soccer clinic with 40 youth from Prieto Academy. The girls welcomed the Urban Initiatives participants by having them run though a human fan tunnel – this greeting immediately set the tone for a fun filled day.
During the event, the FC United players organized small groups of Urban Initiatives participants to work on passing, small-sided games, and shooting on goal. The girls did a fantastic job of having the players rotate through each of the stations and learn a lot of great skills.
The finale of the event was a scrimmage with the Prieto parents looking on with delight. Overall a great time was had by all! Thank you to FC United and all of the girls that participated in this event – you are awesome! Click here to see more photos from the event.
