Jim Dower, Urban Initiatives’ Co-Founder and Executive Director, has been selected to join Leadership Greater Chicago’s 2014 Fellows Class. Congratulations to Jim on being recognized for his consistent dedication to empowering and inspiring children and for his tireless efforts to promote social change in Chicago. We are thrilled to have him as the leader of our team!
Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) is a nonprofit civic organization that brings together diverse groups of community leaders to discuss and engage with the challenges facing the Chicago area. Fellows participate in an intensive 10-month program designed to broaden their perspectives on Chicagoland issues and help them develop the skills and connections they will need to tackle these issues. With over 900 alumni, LGC encompasses some of Chicago’s most dynamic and future-minded leaders.
Jim will be inducted into LGC’s 30th Fellows Class on September 20th, and he is “ready to hone [his] unique approach to social change in Chicago with such a talented and influential group of fellow leaders.” The Urban Initiatives team couldn’t be more excited for Jim, and we can’t wait to see the results of his involvement with LGC!
