Fulton’s First Field Trip

The Fulton Work to Play team and their families suited up in their Urban Initiatives Nike jerseys to go cheer on the DePaul University men’s soccer team on Saturday October 12th at Wish Field.

One of our new Work to Play schools, Fulton soccer players learned a lot about the sport of soccer by watching the Blue Demons in action. They were very impressed to see soccer moves, like sweet spot taps and the Messi, that they learned through the first four weeks of the Work to Play program being used by college athletes. Fulton soccer players loved cheering at the game, hanging out with DePaul’s mascot and were thrilled by how fast paced the game was. Fulton 3rd grader Lanise commented on how beautiful the field was and hoped that she would be able to play on a field like Wish field one day!

Urban Initiatives would like to thank Coach Blazer and DePaul University for giving Fulton soccer players a sneak peek into what it takes to be a collegiate student athlete.
