Urban Initiatives is thrilled to announce that the Sky Ranch Foundation™ has signed on as the inaugural funder of our newest program, Take the Lead. The Sky Ranch Foundation™ has granted us $25,000 to support all program expenses. As the Take the Lead program continues to grow and develop, this grant will be instrumental in helping to provide middle school students with the opportunity to engage with adult mentors and learn the merits of leadership, academic persistence, and community service.
The Sky Ranch Foundation™ is committed to giving at-risk youth a second chance by identifying and offering grants to efficient and effective programs focused on improving the quality of help available to these youth. As the Foundation’s motto reads, “People never stand so tall as when they stoop to help a child.” The Foundation, in promoting this concept, supports a number of organizations that align with this mission across the country.
