Our Board of Directors is committed to making the future Urban Initiatives strong! On May 13th and 14th, Board Members along with the Executive Leadership team retreated to New Buffalo, Michigan for our 2nd Board Retreat. The team engaged in activities, discussions, presentations, and ultimately worked together to review and update the strategic plan. Urban Initiatives is so lucky to have such a talented and committed group of Board Members leading the way!
Additionally, the UI team was joined by consultants from Capgemini who helped to plan and facilitate the sessions. Thank you to John Ballesteros and Sheila Mcananly for their planning support and supreme facilitation through the weekend. Also thank you to Jill McDonald and Margaret Weber for their retreat development support. One of the fun-filled activities they brought for the weekend was the Marshmallow Tower Challenge. The competition was fierce and the team comprised of Shawn Broadfield, Jim Dower, Ralf Hilpuesch, Jimmy Samartzis, and Stacy Stutz was victorious.
Finally, special thanks to The Harbor Grand Hotel for hosting us overnight and to Journeyman Distillery for hosting us for dinner.
