Urban Initiatives is excited to announce that the Sky Ranch Foundation™ will continue their support of the Take the Lead program during the 2016/2017 school year. The Sky Ranch Foundation™ has granted UI $25,000 to support Take the Lead program expenses. As Take the Lead continues to grow and develop, this grant will be instrumental in helping to provide middle school students with the opportunity to engage with adult mentors through our leadership development, high school readiness, and violence prevention program.
The Sky Ranch Foundation™ is committed to giving at-risk youth a second chance by identifying and offering grants to efficient and effective programs focused on improving the quality of help available to these youth. As the Foundation’s motto reads, “People never stand so tall as when they stoop to help a child.” The Foundation, in promoting this concept, supports a number of organizations that align with this mission across the country.
