MAXIMUS Foundation Supports Greene Elementary

Urban Initiatives is pleased to announce our continued partnership with the MAXIMUS Foundation for the 2016-2017 school year! Support from the MAXIMUS Foundation will subsidize costs of nutritious snacks for the Work to Play team at Greene Elementary located in the McKinley Park community.

The MAXIMUS Foundation is committed to supporting organizations and programs that promote personal growth and self-sufficiency through improved health, augmented child and family development, and community development. They provide financial support for nonprofit organizations and charities that share our commitment in helping disadvantaged populations and underserved communities.

MAXIMUS Foundation Chairman, John Boyer, said, “It’s an honor to provide Urban Initiatives with a MAXIMUS Foundation grant that will enable such a deserving organization to continue its spectacular work improving health, child and community development, and helping underserved populations in the local community. Urban Initiatives has earned this well-deserved grant by providing innovative solutions that empower families and individuals – values that we hold dear at the MAXIMUS Foundation. The Foundation and I send our warmest congratulations to UI.”

Jim Dower, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Urban Initiatives said, “We are honored to continue our partnership with the MAXIMUSFoundation at UI. Their support helps Urban Initiatives impact more than 15,000 students in Chicago and we couldn’t do it without them. This will be the third year that we have partnered with the MAXIMUS Foundation and we look forward to growing this partnership in years to come.”

Thank you MAXIMUS Foundation!
