To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take a moment to offer my support for the Urban Initiatives Work to Play Program. Since its inception in 2003, this commendable before- and after-school soccer program has positively impacted the lives of hudreds of Chicago Public School Students.
The Work to Play Program provides at-risk students with a safe place to go before and after school, instills in students a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, as well as teaches students important lessons about teamwork and dedication that are applicable both on and off the field. Furthermore, the program promotes success in the classroom by requiring students to meet academic goals in order to be eligible to play on the soccer team.
I thank everyone at Urban Initaitives for their efforts to improve the lives of Chicago’s youth and I look forward to working with the organization in the future.
